While growing up on a tree farm at the base of Mount Hood, OR, Dave Roberts learned to work with his hands. From a young age he was naturally creative and enjoyed making things from wood; hand crafting percussion instruments from Douglas fir, chiseling zip line handlebars from maple branches and creating a battery powered weed-eater with a cedar shaft. Dave earned a business degree while he continued to practice his craft, working through school as a rough carpenter. After college Dave worked in the craft beer industry, eventually becoming a head brewer in the San Francisco Bay Area. He started Dave Roberts Woodcraft as a small side project to continue his love of woodwork. What started as a passion project grew into a business. He now practices woodwork full time, specializing in custom built ins and one of a kind furniture pieces. He resides in Paso Robles, CA, collecting rare wood and aging it to perfection. Beer lovers, don’t fear, Dave still keeps a small brewery in his garage.
